The Journal of Management Studies and INDAM invite you to attend their face-to-face Publishing
Workshop. The workshop will feature JMS editors Prof. Daniel Muzio (University of York), Prof. Johann
Fortwengel (King’s College London) and Prof. Garima Sharma (The American University).
This workshop will invite participants to present their papers and engage in a Q&A and feedback
session. Participants will be given the opportunity to sit with a JMS Editor to discuss their work
and receive detailed feedback in a similar form to an R&R process, with a view of helping you to
publish your work at the highest level.
The Journal of Management Studies
Consistently highly ranked in the Business and Management categories of the Clarivate Journal
Citation Reports, the Journal of Management Studies (JMS) is a globally respected,
multidisciplinary journal with a long-established history of excellence in management
research. JMS publishes innovative empirical and conceptual articles which advance knowledge
of management and organisation broadly defined, in such fields as organization theory,
organizational behaviour, human resource management, strategy, international business,
entrepreneurship, innovation and critical management studies. JMS has an inclusive ethos and is
open to a wide range of methodological approaches and philosophical underpinnings. JMS
publishes different types of articles: original articles, which can be empirical or theoretical; review
articles; and essays (JMS Says).
Format of the Afternoon
In each session participants will have 10 minutes to present their paper to an editor. They will
then receive approx. 25 minutes feedback from the JMS editor and 10 minutes for other
delegates to comment and/or the author to respond. Editors will also provide authors with written
comments (as a summary and/or direct notes on participants’ work). This will be after the
workshop has taken place.
Participation in this workshop is free, but the capacity is limited. Participation is decided via the
INDAM conference panel.
